Create and add cases to a Collection

Steps on how to create your very own collection of cases

A collection functions as a playlist where you can organize and gather cases from various locations, including the global community or your own groups. Cases can be mixed and matched and reused as many times as necessary in your different Collections.

Collections are handy for narrowing down a large number of cases in a group to create a playlist tailored for a specific class or session, compiling a list of intriguing cases, or creating a collection to share with others.

Create a Collection

  1. Click the Create button found at the top of the toolbar.
  2. Next, select "New Collection".
  3. Add a title for your new Collection.
  4. Add a description of your new Collection.
  5. Click SUBMIT.

Add a case to your collection

  1. Locate the case that you wish to add to your collection.
  2. Click the "Case actions" button found on top of the case.
  3. Select "Add to Collection".
  4. Choose the Collection you wish to add the case to by clicking the + sign next to the Collection name.
  5. Repeat steps 1-4 to add in further cases.

Arrange the cases in your collection

You can easily organize the cases in your collection by dragging and dropping them into the order that suits you best. Please note that only the Collection owner can rearrange the cases.

Share your collection

Share your Collection with others by simply copying the URL and sharing it with fellow users on Collective Minds. Additionally, you can include links to your Collection within a group by copying the URL and inserting it as a hyperlink in the group description.

Accessing Collection content

Users do not need to be a part of a collection to view it; accessing the collection through a link allows them to view its contents as long as the user has viewing access to that case.

For example, if you add a case from a private group to your collection, users outside of that group won't be able to see that case, even if it is in your shared collection. This is because the original location of the case determines who can see it.

Add another user as a collaborator on your Collection:

If you wish to grant a user the ability to edit or add cases to your collection, they must be

invited as Collection members. Follow these steps to add a user as a Collection collaborator:

  1. Go to your Collection.
  2. Click on "Collection actions" in the top right corner.
  3. Select "Edit members".
  4. Invite a user by entering their CMRAD username or email address associated with their CMRAD account.
  5. Click "SUBMIT".
