Synchronized series scrolling 🔗

Tips on how to synchronize scrolling in the DICOM viewer.

  • To automatically link series of the same study, click the Link Scrolled series iconScreenshot 2024-06-10 at 18.25.40 located along the top menu. When activated, the letter "A" will appear in the viewports.
  • For manually linking separate but aligned series, click the Link Scrolled series again. This will display the letter "M".
  • To link the series in distance mode, click the Link Scrolled series icon again. The letter "d" will be shown, indicating the tool is matching anatomical locations from a reference image.
  • The keyboard shortcut "K" will also activate the Link Scrolled series
  • An alternative way to synchronize images is to use the cross-hair tool. Crosshair synchronizes the series of the same study when panning through a selected image plane that serves as a localizer.

To maximize scroll speed, Preload the study by clicking the small cloud icon near the study description on the left.

Linking together images relies on specific DICOM metadata values. If your study is in JPEG format or the original metadata has been modified or removed during export, this feature may not function as expected.
